12 Charged with 26 Counts of Sexual Offences in December

A 16-year-old boy was charged with raping his 13-year-old cousin, and a 15-year-old boy was charged with raping a 10-year-old girl in December.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) reported that twelve individuals faced 26 counts of sexual offences, including rape, attempted rape, abduction with intent to commit rape, indecent assault, and sexual assault.

Among the accused were three teenagers and a police officer.

Eleven victims were identified, eight of whom were minors.

Seven incidents involved related victims and accused.

Cases included a police officer accused of raping his wife and a 56-year-old man charged with multiple counts of rape and assault of his 16-year-old stepdaughter.

Two cases were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
