The 2025–2026 National Budget will focus on strengthening economic stability while introducing new strategies to boost and diversify Fiji’s economy, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Hon. Biman Prasad.

Speaking at a recent event, DPM Prasad said the government is currently preparing the new budget, which will build on the foundations laid in the previous budgets since the Coalition Government took office.

“We are expecting to continue with the solid foundation we laid in the first few budgets of our term — including fiscal consolidation, caring for our people, and ensuring predictability and stability in economic policies,” he said.

The new budget is set to be delivered on 27 June 2025, and will feature anticipatory measures and innovative approaches aimed at further diversifying the economy and sustaining long-term growth.
