2025 Will Bring Two ‘Blood Moons’ and Two Solar Eclipses
FIJI NEWS

Skywatchers around the world can look forward to an exciting year in 2025, with two total lunar eclipses, or "Blood Moons," and two partial solar eclipses.
The first Blood Moon will occur overnight on March 13–14, casting a crimson glow across North and South America for 65 minutes, while parts of Europe will catch a glimpse before moonset.
Later that month, on March 29, a partial solar eclipse will greet early risers in eastern North America and Europe, with the sun appearing as a crescent on the horizon.
The second Blood Moon will light up the skies on September 7–8, offering prime views from Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Two weeks later, on September 21, the Southern Hemisphere will experience a stunning partial solar eclipse, with New Zealand seeing up to 73% of the sun obscured at sunrise.
Experts emphasize the importance of safety measures, such as using solar filters, and encourage the public to embrace these celestial events, which serve as both scientific opportunities and a reminder of the beauty of the universe.
