3-Year-Old Boy Becomes Latest Road Fatality in Sigatoka

A three-year-old boy of Kulukulu, Sigatoka, is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality victim.

According to Police, the child was struck by a motor vehicle driven by a 38-year-old woman of Sigatoka.

The incident occurred in Sigatoka Town earlier this morning as the boy was crossing the road with his grandmother.

He was rushed to Sigatoka Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver has been taken into Police custody as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident continue.

Police have once again urged motorists and pedestrians to exercise extreme caution on the roads, especially in busy town areas, to prevent further loss of life.
