Dr Ahmed Shakeel Shariff has been named the new Deputy Party Leader of the National Federation Party (NFP).

The announcement was confirmed by NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad, who also welcomed Dr Shariff as one of the party’s proposed candidates.

“I am pleased to welcome and warmly congratulate Dr. Ahmed Shakeel Shariff as a Proposed Candidate and the New National Federation Party Deputy Party Leader,” Prasad said.

Dr Shariff is a medical practitioner and private general practitioner who has also served as Treasurer of the Fiji Medical Association.

His appointment comes as the NFP continues its preparations ahead of Fiji’s next General Election.
