Kumar Deserved Better, Says Wife

Priyashni Lata, wife of former Ba Football coach Ravinesh Kumar, has questioned the manner in which her husband was dismissed, claiming he learned of his termination through a Facebook media release.

Lata said Kumar, who led Ba to four titles in ten months, deserved greater professionalism and respect.

“Surely, such a significant contribution deserved the courtesy of being informed of his termination directly before a public announcement was made,” she said.

She stressed that success should not place anyone above accountability, but insisted that respect must work both ways.

“Winning titles do not make anyone untouchable, and achievements should never excuse misconduct. However, accountability must go both ways.”

Lata also expressed concern about the impact of the public controversy on their son and family.

“Children and families are affected by how these matters are handled, and their dignity and wellbeing deserve consideration too,” she said.

She urged supporters not to speculate or pass judgment without knowing the full circumstances, saying the matter had become a public spectacle attracting criticism and mockery.

Lata maintained that she was neither defending anyone’s conduct nor attacking Ba Football Association, but calling for professionalism, dignity and sensitivity.
