FCCC joins WOWS Kids Fiji to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

FCCC joins WOWS Kids Fiji to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

The Fiji Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has joined WOWS Kids Fiji in launching Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, with a month-long programme aimed at supporting children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.

The awareness campaign was launched at the FCCC’s head office in Suva, bringing staff and representatives from WOWS Kids Fiji together to highlight the challenges faced by children living with cancer.

As part of its support, FCCC will make continuous donations to WOWS Kids Fiji throughout September through initiatives such as its Saqamoli Drives.

All funds and items collected during the month will be presented to WOWS Kids Fiji at the end of September to directly support children receiving treatment.

The launch also included an interactive awareness session for FCCC staff, who were briefed by WOWS Kids Fiji representatives on the early warning signs and symptoms of childhood cancer.

Staff were also informed about the support services provided by WOWS Kids Fiji to children and families across Fiji.

FCCC says it remains committed to supporting the annual awareness initiative and standing alongside children and families facing the challenges of cancer.

The commission is also encouraging members of the public to support WOWS Kids Fiji and contribute towards its efforts to provide assistance to children undergoing cancer treatment.
