Arsenal Thrash Manchester City 3-0 to Win Community Shield
Arsenal have started the new season with silverware after producing an emphatic 3-0 victory over Manchester City to win the 2026 FA Community Shield at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
The Gunners made a dream start when Riccardo Calafiori scored after just 24 seconds, immediately putting Manchester City under pressure.
Kai Havertz doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 28th minute before captain Martin Ødegaard struck shortly after halftime to complete a commanding victory.
The result gives Mikel Arteta’s side the first piece of silverware of the 2026/27 English football season and continues Arsenal’s impressive Community Shield record against City.
For Manchester City, the defeat marked a difficult beginning for new manager Enzo Maresca, with the Community Shield his first competitive match in charge following the departure of Pep Guardiola.
Arsenal will now turn their attention to the new Premier League campaign as they look to build on an impressive start to the season.
