PC Peniasi Racagi Investigation File Remains With ODPP

The investigation into the death of Police Constable Peniasi Racagi remains with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) for independent legal review.

The Fiji Police Force confirmed that forensic test results sent to New Zealand have been received and subsequently forwarded to the ODPP.

Police had earlier confirmed that the forensic examinations were part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the police officer.

Further information is expected to be provided once the investigation file is returned by the ODPP.

Police said no further comments will be made at this stage while the matter remains under independent legal review.
