Joint Police Operations Lead to Drug and Theft Arrests

Joint operations involving the Police Dog Unit and Fiji Detector Dog Unit have resulted in several arrests linked to alleged drug possession and theft cases.

Four men were arrested during two separate drug raids in Pacific Harbour and Qauia, following searches in which K9 teams detected substances believed to be marijuana.

Cash believed to be proceeds of crime was also seized during the Pacific Harbour operation.

The suspected drugs have been sent for analysis, while investigations into the cases continue.

In a separate operation, a joint team was deployed to a settlement in Vunidawa to search a home belonging to a man allegedly linked to the possession of laptops reported stolen from Raiwaqa.

The search resulted in the discovery of two laptops, which were taken into police custody.

The suspect is currently being questioned at the Vunidawa Police Station as investigators continue their inquiries.
