Fiji’s national budget is more than figures on a page — it reflects the government’s values of democracy, transparency, and public involvement.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Hon. Biman Prasad, made this clear while speaking at the National Budget Forum: The People’s Dialogue in Suva. He highlighted that the budget is not just an economic tool but a political process that shapes national priorities.

“Budgets are not just economic processes — they are central political processes,” he stated.
