Aspiring politician, Abel Camillo, says he has personally visited multiple grassroots communities and villages to gather their concerns and forward them to relevant authorities for assistance.

He says his work across Fiji and Rotuma has been driven by direct engagement with communities, often at his own expense.

“I paid my travels and expenses with support from our family and friends. I slept in the Vanua and gathered the data and pleas of the people," said Camillo.

“I sent it to all stakeholders who could help the people. I never stopped working for the people. I even walked to the people around Fiji and Rotuma averaging 9 hrs walk a day.”

“I did what the Turaga ni Koro, Roko, DO, Province Reps and Ministers were supposed to do,” Camillo said.

“Most of my communications hit the emails of FIJI GOVT CORE LEADERS weekly on email, Viber, at their office in person or text messages.”

“I gave the contacts of the leaders to the people to close the poverty gap.”

According to Camillo, the villages and communities he has visited so far span multiple Yasana and Tikina, including:

Ra

Ba

Nadroga/Navosa

Namosi

Naitasiri

Rewa

Tailevu

Bua

Taveuni

Macuata

Malolo

Mamanuca

Yasawa

Rotuma

Camillo says his work has been largely self-funded, with support from family and friends, as he continues his on-the-ground engagement with communities across the country.
