Abel Camillo will lead The Lion of Judah Party as it prepares to contest the next general election, with a clear bid for the Prime Ministership.
Camillo confirmed that Ratu Waisea of Nalawa has handed over stewardship of the party, and that Ratu Tevita Ramasei III will serve as Party President. An Annual General Meeting will be held in August to confirm executive appointments.
“The people are calling for me to bid for Prime Ministership,” Camillo said.
Camillo had earlier resigned but was asked to come back by his supporters.
“The Vanua was not happy with my resignation and has asked me to complete what I started.”
Camillo said the party continues to grow, with active membership registration underway and strong support from families across Kalabu, Lewa, Fag’uta, Itu’tiu, Itu’muta, Noatau, Oinafa, Malha’a, Namotomoto, Navoci, Nakavu, Nawaqadamu, Uto, Vagadra, Vunamoli, Solevu, Momi, Nabila, and more.
He also extended his best wishes to the Matawailevu family as they move forward with their own political party.
Founded by Camillo, The Lion of Judah Party positions itself as a movement for “the Vanua, Hanua, all races, animals, and the poor — and for the world that supports our journey.”
