More than 150 spectators gathered at the Vodafone Arena on Saturday to witness the AeroGym Fiji Showcase, an event aimed at nurturing the next generation of gymnasts and preparing athletes for upcoming international competitions.
Organized by AeroGym Fiji founder and coach Josiemaraya Ryland alongside supportive parents, the showcase featured performances from the club’s gymnasts and special guests from Lautoka’s Flight Club.
The event provided a vital platform for aspiring gymnasts to build confidence and gain competitive experience ahead of the National Clubs Carnival in Gold Coast this September and the Suzuki World Cup in 2026.
Ryland praised the dedication of both athletes and parents, noting the growing interest in gymnastics across Fiji.
“This showcase highlights the talent we have here in Fiji and the importance of giving our young athletes the exposure and encouragement they need to succeed internationally,” she said.
The showcase also received strong support from sports stakeholders, with representatives from the Gymnastics Federation of Fiji, FASANOC, and the Fiji National Sports Commission attending the event.
AeroGym Fiji officials expressed gratitude to the parents and volunteers whose efforts made the event possible, emphasizing that grassroots events like this are crucial for the sport’s development in the country.
