A mother and her son from Samabula are deeply shaken after an attempted robbery at their home last night.
Vijaya Dulare and her son were attacked by an intruder who tried to forcefully enter their house.
The incident occurred around 8:10 PM while her son was taking out the trash.
Dulare witnessed her son struggling with a masked man on their verandah.
The assailant was holding her son tightly and blocking his mouth.
Despite the terrifying situation, Dulare's son managed to fend off the intruder by kicking and pushing him down the stairs.
The neighbors came out upon hearing the commotion, but the intruder had already fled. Police and a canine team responded to the scene, but the assailant remained at large.
Dulare expressed her concern over the rising crime rates and urged the police to take stronger measures.

The police are continuing their investigation and have taken statements from the victims.
