Australia provides humanitarian aid with the sum of $3 million following the devastating impact of Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam. The typhoon resulted in over 700 injuries and 150 fatalities, making it the most powerful storm to hit Vietnam in 30 years.

In response to this crisis, a Royal Australian Air Force Globemaster delivered emergency supplies, including shelters. The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Penny Wong, emphasized the need for rapid response and early recovery for women, children, and people with disabilities in Vietnam.

She also underlined the government’s commitment to collaborating with Vietnamese efforts to address these issues.
