The Ba Athletics Team is gearing up for another year at the prestigious Tuckers Games, marking their fifth consecutive year of participation.

Led by Head Coach, Mr Meli Tuilevu, the team has been diligently training after school and on weekends, showcasing their commitment to excellence despite facing significant challenges.

One of the primary hurdles this season has been the rainy weather, which disrupted outdoor practice sessions.

Additionally, travel expenses have posed a challenge for athletes coming from remote areas.

However, with the unwavering support of school headteachers and community members, the team has managed to maintain a structured training schedule while prioritizing academics.

Coach Tuilevu highlighted the transformative role of sports in shaping athletes. “Sports teach discipline and the importance of remembering one’s community,” he shared.

The Ba athletes have shown tremendous growth, particularly in their ability to socialize and build camaraderie with their teammates.

Looking to the future, the Ba Athletics Team is determined to build on this year’s experience.

As a message to aspiring athletes, Coach Tuilevu emphasized the importance of self-belief and discipline.

With the team's dedication and community support, Ba is not just competing in games but also laying the foundation for a brighter future in sports.
