In a heartfelt show of support, Dayal’s Sawmillers Ba FC today presented a cheque to Vilimaina Vatu, the wife of former Ba and national football star Tuimasi Manuca, who is currently battling cancer.

The donation followed the Ba Football Association’s promise to give 100 percent of its gate takings from the Extra Premier League clash against Suva FC at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, to support Manuca and his family.

Ba FA President Praneel Dayal said the gesture reflected the football community’s commitment to stand by one of its own during a difficult time.

“Here’s my promise — our 100 percent share goes to our legend Tuimasi. Please continue to keep him in your prayers,” said Dayal.

He also acknowledged the Fiji Football Association for its support in helping release the funds quickly.

“Lastly, this was all possible only because of you, Ba fans. You are our strength,” he added.

Vilimaina Vatu thanked Ba Football, the fans and everyone who contributed to the fundraising effort.

“We are truly thankful to Ba Football, the fans, and everyone who contributed. This support means everything to our family and gives us strength as Tuimasi continues his fight,” she said.
