At just 19 years old, Philip Baselala has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Fijian rugby, making his debut for the Fijian Drua in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

The halfback, who hails from Solotavui, Nakaseleka, first made headlines after transitioning directly from the prestigious Deans Secondary School Rugby competition to the Fijian Drua development squad.

His rapid rise saw him promoted to the main squad where he debuted against the Melbourne Rebels in Suva.

Despite his youth, Baselala has already clocked 203 minutes on the field and scored his first Super Rugby try, showcasing composure and agility beyond his years.
