Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Officer Brent Hill will step down from his role at the end of August 2025, bringing to a close a transformative four-year tenure.

In a statement issued on Saturday night, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka expressed the government's heartfelt appreciation for Hill’s “incredible service to our nation.”

“Brent’s leadership over the past four years has not only helped revitalise our tourism sector after the global pandemic but also elevated Fiji’s image on the world stage with authenticity and heart,” Gavoka said.

Hill is widely credited for driving successful campaigns such as “Where Happiness Comes Naturally” and for embedding sustainability, inclusivity, and cultural authenticity into Fiji’s tourism narrative.

Under his leadership, Tourism Fiji not only recovered from COVID-19 disruptions but also repositioned itself as a global leader in meaningful, people-centric tourism.

Gavoka highlighted Hill’s commitment to supporting Fijian MSMEs, artisans, and communities—ensuring that growth in tourism translated into grassroots opportunities.

As Hill prepares to return to Australia with his family, the Fijian government wished him the very best in his next chapter.

“Vinaka vakalevu, Brent!” Gavoka concluded.
