Brutal Pig Hunters Allegedly Stealing Family Pets
FIJI NEWS

A Lautoka resident is warning the public to remain vigilant following allegations that a group of pig hunters is operating in the Lautoka area and may be stealing family dogs.
Mohammed Khan, a resident of Lautoka, claims that witnesses recently reported suspected dog theft activity along Sandalwood Street off Vomo Street. He said the reports surfaced after a related news item was shared on social media.
According to Khan, the group is believed to be moving in small numbers and may be seen with dogs and ropes. He is urging residents to be alert and to document any suspicious activity by taking photos or videos, but to do so safely.
Khan also stated that several dogs rescued last week were confirmed to belong to families and were returned home.
He alleges that one of the groups photographed last week is from Navosa and that additional associated groups may also be operating in the area. These claims have not been independently verified.
Police have not yet commented on the allegations.
