CCTV Leads to Arrest in Raiwasa Burglary Case

One of the two men allegedly caught on CCTV breaking into a home along Namena Road in Raiwasa has been arrested and charged.

Southern Division police officers arrested an 18-year-old suspect, who has since been charged with one count of aggravated burglary. He is expected to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today as investigations continue into the identity and whereabouts of the second suspect.

In a separate incident, two men have been charged in connection with an aggravated robbery that occurred on May 31 along Grantham Road.

The suspects are alleged to have assaulted and robbed a 24-year-old woman, stealing her mobile phone and headset. Police recovered the stolen items, and the men were arrested and produced at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
