Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has urged newly appointed Land Transport Authority (LTA) branch managers to embrace servant leadership in their new roles.
While addressing the group during their induction training at the Government Training Centre in Nasese on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025, Commissioner Tudravu highlighted the critical role leaders play in service-oriented institutions.
He said effective leadership meant inspiring teams to work collectively towards the organisation’s mission and vision while also ensuring internal service delivery—particularly in staff welfare and logistical support—was prioritised.
“This support translates directly to better outcomes,” he said, noting that any leadership gaps would often reflect in the performance of those under their command.
Drawing from his own experience in the Fiji Police Force, the Commissioner stressed the need for resilience and adaptability, encouraging managers to absorb internal and external pressures and readjust to minimise service disruptions.
He concluded by congratulating the branch managers and wished them success in their new responsibilities.
