Commissioner Recognises Officer’s Dedication with Promotion

The Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu, this week promoted Police Constable Kaminieli Laliqavoka to the rank of Corporal, in recognition of his unwavering dedication and loyalty to the oath of service.
Commissioner Tudravu commended Corporal Laliqavoka, stating that his commitment to the fundamentals of policing reflects the organization’s intent to regain public trust and confidence in the policing profession.
“I have followed Corporal Laliqavoka’s work with keen interest,” Commissioner Tudravu said. “I have seen the positive comments whenever you are featured on social media. Even before returning to the organization, acknowledging your efforts has been on my to-do list. Today, alongside your Divisional Police Commander South, I wanted to personally say vinaka vakalevu.”
Corporal Laliqavoka is a familiar face to many commuting along the Suva–Nausori corridor, where he diligently directs traffic during peak hours.
His visible commitment has not gone unnoticed, with numerous public praises highlighting his dedication.
“This promotion is our way of saying thank you for your service,” Commissioner Tudravu added. “The small things we do in our line of work, when done with honesty and the right intentions, make a big difference. The public’s positive feedback reflects their appreciation and reminds us that by getting the basics right, we can restore trust and confidence through our actions.”
The Commissioner reaffirmed his broader vision of restoring public confidence in the Fiji Police Force by focusing on the fundamentals of policing.
