Customs officers at Nadi International Airport found undeclared ammunition in a passenger's luggage from a flight arriving from Los Angeles.
This discovery was made thanks to targeted checks and specific signs noticed by the officers.
The passenger and their baggage were handed over to the Border Police for further investigation.
Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) CEO Udit Singh praised the customs officers for their quick action.
Singh stressed the importance of protecting Fiji's borders and stopping illegal items from entering the country.
He reminded all passengers to follow customs rules, warning that not declaring restricted or banned items can lead to serious consequences.
