Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, joining Catholics around the world in mourning the loss of a global spiritual leader.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Tikoduadua described Pope Francis as “a shepherd who led with humility, compassion, and conviction,” and someone whose legacy was rooted in love, service, and advocacy for the vulnerable.
“His witness to the Gospel challenged us to be better—not just as Catholics, but as human beings,” he wrote. “I will remember him for his courage, his tenderness, and the quiet strength with which he bore the burdens of his office.”
“Requiescat in pace, Papa Francis,” he concluded.
