Deputy Prime Minister Visits FPBS to Address Healthcare Challenges

Fiji's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development, and Statistics, Honourable Professor Biman Prasad, visited the Fiji Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Services (FPBS) premises this afternoon.
The visit, initiated by the Minister for Health & Medical Services, Honourable Dr Ratu Atonio Rabici Lalabalavu, provided an opportunity for Honourable Prasad to hear firsthand the challenges faced by FPBS staff.
During the visit, Honourable Prasad engaged in discussions about critical issues such as the shortage of consumables and medication at healthcare facilities across the country.
The staff and team leaders at FPBS expressed their gratitude for Honourable Prasad's willingness to listen to their concerns and consider their recommendations for improving services to the people of Fiji.
Also present during the tour was the Assistant Minister for Health & Medical Services, Honourable Penioni Ravunawa, who will be sworn in tomorrow, showing his support for Minister Lalabalavu.
