Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, officially opened the 2025 Pacific Islands Investment Forum (PIIF) CEO Workshop this morning at the Sheraton Resort, Denarau Island.

The forum brought together leaders of the region’s superannuation, trust, and sovereign wealth funds, which collectively manage over $160 billion FJD in assets.

These funds are recognised as powerful vehicles for driving positive change across the Blue Pacific, with the potential to significantly advance climate action, regional resilience, and sustainable economic growth.

In his opening remarks, Professor Prasad emphasised that the forum is about more than financial discussions—it is about shaping a secure and prosperous future for Pacific communities. “This forum is not just about finance—it’s about our people, their future, and our shared commitment to resilience, climate action, and regional prosperity,” he said.
