Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Finance and NFP Leader Hon. Professor Biman Prasad visited residents along Lobau Road in Nausori as part of his ongoing efforts to engage directly with communities and address grassroots development challenges.

He was joined by the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations and NFP MP Hon. Agni Deo Singh.

The visit provided a platform for residents to raise key concerns, including poor road conditions, inconsistent water supply, inadequate drainage, and other pressing social issues affecting their daily lives.

Professor Prasad acknowledged the hardships faced by the community and reassured residents of the government’s commitment to improving essential infrastructure and services.

“This is part of our commitment to be on the ground, listen to the people, and work together to address these issues in a timely and sustainable manner,” he said.

Hon. Agni Deo Singh echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of strong partnerships between communities and government agencies to foster inclusive, people-centered development.

This visit is part of a series of community engagements planned across the country, aimed at promoting transparency, collaboration, and citizen-driven development.

Meanwhile, Professor Prasad also announced that the first public consultation for the 2025–2026 National Budget will be held this evening at Rishikul School Hall in Suva from 6pm to 8pm. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and share their views to help shape the national budget.
