SPORTSFIJI NEWSTOP STORIES

The Fijian Drua produced a memorable performance in Ba, beating the Brumbies 42-27 at 4R Electrical Govind Park for their first-ever win over the ACT Brumbies. The hosts handled the conditions well and pulled away in the second half, with Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula’s boot proving crucial as both sides scored five tries each.
The Drua opened with an early penalty from Armstrong-Ravula before tries from Etonia Waqa, Elia Canakaivata, debutant Sairusi Ravudi, and Ilaisa Droasese, who grabbed a double, helped seal the result in front of a passionate home crowd. The Brumbies threatened a comeback in the second half, but the Drua held firm to close out a famous win.
For the Drua, it was also a special occasion as they christened the new venue in Ba with a statement victory.
