Duavata News has hit a major milestone, reaching 7.5 million+ views on its Facebook platform in just 90 days, marking a significant moment for the new media organization.

This figure does not include engagement from Duavata’s popular website, X (formerly Twitter), and other digital platforms.

The views came from across the Pacific, including Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, and the wider Fijian diaspora, many of whom have turned to Duavata for news, analysis, and investigative reporting.

In addition to its massive viewership, over 650,000 Facebook users organically engaged with Duavata News’ content during this period through likes, shares, and comments—a clear sign of the growing demand for fact-based, independent reporting.

Acting Editor Arnold Chanel expressed gratitude to the audience, emphasizing that Duavata’s success is entirely due to the people who read, share, and support its work.

“Without our audience, we are nothing. Every view, every comment, every share helps us continue our mission to provide accurate news.”

“Despite being new and nowhere near the resources of other established media organizations, it is good to see that we are doing well, filling an appetite that clearly exists for neutral, well-researched content,” Mr. Chanel said.

He added that Duavata remains committed to serving its audience with journalism that informs, challenges, and holds power to account.

Since its launch, Duavata News has gained a strong following for its unbiased reporting and commitment to covering stories that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Mr. Chanel reiterated that the support of its audience drives Duavata’s growth, and the team is focused on expanding its coverage, strengthening investigative journalism, and increasing engagement across multiple platforms.

“We will continue working hard to bring journalism that matters, to tell the stories that need to be told, and to remain a platform for truth. These numbers are not just about us—they reflect the collective effort of a community that values good journalism.”

With organic engagement soaring, Duavata News is positioning itself as a formidable player in the Fijian and Pacific media landscape—proving that when the audience speaks, independent journalism thrives.
