Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, has extended his best wishes to the nation on the occasion of Holi, encouraging everyone to spread love, joy, and togetherness.

“Fiji, as a multi-racial and multi-cultural country, celebrates each festival with excitement and enthusiasm,” said Hon. Radrodro.

He noted that Hindu schools across the country would be marking the festival with colours, folk songs, Bollywood dances, and sweets.

The Minister highlighted Holi’s cultural significance, linking it to the Hindu legend of Holika and Hiranyakashyap, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

He emphasized that such traditions foster unity and harmony in schools, creating safe and inclusive spaces for students.

Hon. Radrodro also expressed gratitude to teachers for their dedication in shaping students’ futures. He urged everyone to celebrate Holi safely and to carry its message of love and unity beyond the festival.

“Wishing you all a colourful and joyous Holi!” he concluded.
