Education Minister Urges Strong School Leadership at Principals Conference

The 131st Fiji Principals Association Conference concluded yesterday with Education Minister Hon. Aseri Radrodro calling on school heads to lead with purpose and vision.
Addressing the principals, Minister Radrodro reminded them of their role as school leaders, saying, “You are the CEOs of your schools. Plan well, support your teachers, and make sure students get the best learning experience.”
He highlighted the importance of effective school planning, monitoring student learning and teacher performance, and using data systems like FEMIS.
The Minister also emphasized student and teacher wellbeing, promoting sports, creativity, career pathways, and preparing students for life after school.
Radrodro announced that the Ministry is reviewing the Education Act and national curriculum to strengthen the education system.
He thanked principals for their efforts in Term 1 and encouraged continued dedication in Term 2.
“Our schools are places where students grow and succeed. Let’s lead with care and make sure no child is left behind,” he said.
