The Electoral Commission has introduced a comprehensive set of Rules and Procedures for the first time since 2014, marking a significant step towards strengthening transparency and consistency in Fiji's electoral process.

The newly launched framework outlines how the Commission will handle legal matters, including appeals, objections and reviews of decisions made by the Supervisor of Elections, providing greater clarity for candidates, political parties and voters ahead of the next General Election.

The Commission says the Rules and Procedures are designed to ensure its adjudication processes are fair, transparent and consistent as Fiji prepares for the upcoming polls.

The full Rules and Procedures are now publicly available on the Electoral Commission's website, allowing stakeholders to better understand the processes that will guide the Commission's decision-making throughout the election period.
