Thanks to the newly renovated Empower Pacific counselling centre at Nadi Hospital, Fijians can now access a wide range of counselling services.

Funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a contribution of over $90,000, the facility has been transformed into a welcoming space designed to support individuals facing challenges such as self-harm, domestic violence, sexual assault, anxiety, grief, child malnutrition, substance abuse, and more.

The Health Ministry highlights that two professional counsellors and a social worker from Empower Pacific are now stationed at the hospital, offering compassionate and confidential support.

This initiative aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the community to address their mental health and social needs.
