Fatal Midair Collision Near Reagan National Airport

A tragic midair collision occurred last night near Reagan National Airport, involving American Airlines Flight 5342 and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter.

The passenger aircraft, carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, collided with the helicopter as it approached the runway.

The crash resulted in fatalities, with rescuers yet to pull any survivors from the Potomac River.

All takeoffs and landings at Reagan National Airport have been halted as emergency personnel continue their search and rescue efforts.
