FIJI NEWS

This year’s first Senior Manager’s Meeting was held this morning at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Toorak, with the senior managers from the Ministry of Health & Medical Services in attendance.
This session was conducted face-to-face instead of their usual virtual style to allow the managers to meet the new Assistant Minister for Health, Honourable Dr Penioni Ravunawa, and the Minister for Health, Honourable Dr Ratu Atonio Rabici Lalabalavu
Another main highlight of the meeting was that the 12-member Fiji Emergency Medical Assistance Team (FEMAT) who had just deployed to Vanuatu at the beginning of this month were introduced to the group.
They were able to share their experiences and provide a insight to some of the critical work they had carried out during the mission.
The meeting also allowed the Senior Managers to discuss and plan their departmental projects for the year ahead and align these priorities to the country's healthcare objectives so that the welfare of the community can continue to be supported.
