FEO Conducts Workshop on Local Government Elections Regulations

The Fijian Elections Office (FEO) today conducted a workshop for representatives from faith-based and civil society organisations on the Local Government Elections (LGE) Regulations.

FEO Manager Legal, Mesake Dawai, led the session, which focused on key aspects of the upcoming elections.

Topics covered included the number of municipalities, wards and councillors, voter qualifications, polling procedures, and candidate eligibility.

Participants were also given the opportunity to engage in discussions and seek clarification on the regulations.

Mr Dawai emphasised the important role of faith-based and civil society representatives in promoting voter awareness and sharing accurate information within communities ahead of the elections.
