Fiji Airways Announces Direct Flights Between Nadi and Cairns
FIJI NEWS

Fiji Airways has announced a new direct flight service between Nadi, Fiji, and Cairns, Australia, starting on April 10th next year.
The new flights will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, making travel between the two destinations more convenient for both South Pacific and Northern Australian travellers.
This new route also offers easy connections with Fiji Airways’ flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, providing a quick link for passengers traveling from Cairns to North America.
The flights will be operated on the airline’s modern Boeing 737 MAX, which will offer passengers meals, drinks, entertainment, and Wi-Fi onboard.
The new service is expected to boost tourism to Tropical North Queensland, as well as support business, student travel, and exports like fresh produce and seafood.
Fiji Airways CEO, André Viljoen, emphasized that the new route will improve travel options and connectivity between the two regions.
Cairns Airport CEO, Richard Barker, called the new service a “game changer” for the area.
Cairns, famous for its close access to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, is expected to attract even more visitors from Fiji and beyond.
