The Embassy of the Republic of Fiji in the United Arab Emirates has issued a public advisory to Fijian nationals living in the UAE, the Gulf region, and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region following recent geopolitical tensions involving Israel, the United States, and Iran.

In the notice, the Embassy said it is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with authorities in the UAE and other accredited countries to ensure the safety of Fijians in the region.

Fijians have been urged to remain calm, vigilant, and stay updated through official channels as developments continue.

The Embassy also confirmed it is working closely with Fiji’s headquarters and the Fiji Mission in Israel to track regional security developments.

Members of the Fijian community in the UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait, have been advised to stay indoors where necessary, follow instructions from local authorities, and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.

As a precaution, the Embassy is encouraging Fijians to prepare basic emergency supplies, including important documents, medication, food and water for at least three days, a charged mobile phone and power bank, and emergency contact numbers.

Officials emphasized that these measures are precautionary and that any evacuation or further action will be communicated through clear and official instructions if required.

The Embassy has also provided 24-hour consular assistance contacts for Fijians needing urgent help in the region.
