Fiji Men’s U15 Basketball Team Wins Again, Women’s Team Eliminated

The Fiji Men’s U15 Basketball team secured their second win at the FIBA Oceania Basketball Cup, defeating the Cook Islands 88-76 yesterday.
Fiji dominated most of the match, winning three of the four quarters.
They led 24-22 in the first quarter, 25-14 in the second, and 22-21 in the third.
The Cook Islands won the final quarter 19-17, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Fiji's strong performance.
Kalae Kenny was the standout player for Fiji, scoring 36 points in 34 minutes.
He also contributed 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in an impressive all-around performance.
On the other hand, the Fiji Women’s U15 team was knocked out of the competition after losing to New Caledonia 75-74 in a tight match.
Fiji won three of the four quarters, but New Caledonia’s strong third-quarter performance made the difference and helped them secure the win.
The Fiji Men’s team will next face Samoa tonight at 8:30 PM in their third pool match.
