The Fiji Police Force Headquarters Women’s Advisory Network (WAN) celebrated its annual awards ceremony on Saturday night, recognising the achievements and contributions of its female officers and civilian staff.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration (ACPA) Meli Sateki, who officiated the event, commended the growing leadership of women within the force.

“It's amazing to see the rise in leadership from the ASP level to Superintendent and Director. I'm looking forward to the day we see one of you become Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, or even Commissioner,” ACP Sateki said.

He reminded attendees that the awards were not only about recognition but also a tribute to their service and sacrifices.

Among the evening’s awardees were:

WSC 5451 Sera Watiratala, based at Police Headquarters, named Outstanding Women’s Special Constable.

Sergeant 3487 Latileta Ryland, of the Fiji Police Academy, awarded Most Outstanding Female Administration Officer.

Akosita Vakavoasiga, named Best Female Civilian Auxiliary, and Venina Miller, awarded Best Civilian Manager, both based at the Police Mobile Force (PMF).

Alanieta Lewaicei, of the Transport Pool, was recognised as Best Police Civilian Manager.

Vaseva Rokotiko, of PMF, received the Outstanding Women’s Constable award.
