Fiji ranks low on passport strength in among Pacific Islands

According to the 2025 Henley Passport Index, the Solomon Islands leads Pacific Island nations, ranking 37th globally with visa-free access to 134 destinations.
Passport holders from the Solomon Islands can travel to countries like the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Hong Kong without requiring a visa.
Samoa and Tonga follow closely with 131 destinations, while Fiji ranks lower with access to 90 destinations.
Tuvalu is ranked 41st with access to 128 destinations, while Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau allow visa-free travel to 124 countries.
Vanuatu and Nauru follow with access to 92 and 89 destinations, respectively, and Papua New Guinea ranks lowest among Pacific nations, with access to 87 countries.
The Henley Passport Index evaluates global travel freedoms using data from the International Air Transport Association.
Rankings are based on the number of destinations accessible without a visa or with visa-on-arrival options.
Globally, Singapore tops the list with access to 195 destinations, while Afghanistan ranks last, with only 26 visa-free countries.
