Yesterday the Fijian Drua had announced the launch of the Drua Foundation, a charitable initiative aimed at enhancing the lives of Fijian communities through rugby development, health and education, social outreach, and inclusivity.

The Drua Foundation will support various programs, including the Drua Academy, which focuses on nurturing young rugby talent within Fiji.

The Academy aims to keep young players on the island, providing them with professional development opportunities without the need to move overseas.

The Foundation also promotes healthy lifestyle choices and social impact through initiatives like the Anchor Kids Club, The Resilience Project, and the Remote Communities Challenge.

Mark Evans, CEO of Fijian Drua and Foundation Trustee, emphasized the Club's commitment to giving back to the community, stating, "The Drua Foundation is a way for the Club, our sponsors, partners, and well-wishers to contribute towards programs that benefit the Fijian people in a sustainable and meaningful way."

The Foundation's trustees include prominent figures such as Tewaka Managing Director James Sowane, Solicitor Mosese Naivalu, Fiji Airways CFO Naomi Vuibureta, and Olympics Gold Medal Winning Fiji 7s Coach Ben Ryan.
