Fijian Rugby Mourns the Loss of Josaia Raisuqe

The Fijian rugby community is in mourning following the passing of Josaia Raisuqe, a beloved teammate, brother, and proud son of Fijian rugby.

The emotional tribute, shared by teammates and supporters on game day, described Raisuqe as more than just a player — he was family.

"We lost more than a player—we lost a brother, a teammate, and a true son of Fijian Rugby. Rest in peace, Jo. Your spirit will forever live on in the game and in our hearts."

The statement also included a prayer in Fijian, asking for divine peace and comfort for Raisuqe's family:

"Sa neitou masu me na solia tiko na Tamada mai lagi na vakacegu sega ni solia rawa ko vuravura ena lomani vuvale."

A former Fijian 7s player who later played professionally in France, Raisuqe was known for his powerful playing style, big personality, and love for the game. His loss has been felt deeply by fans, friends, and fellow athletes across the globe.
