Two Fijian rugby players in France’s Pro D2 league have been handed 12-month suspended prison sentences after being found guilty of sexual assault, violence, and property damage.

The players, whose identities remain undisclosed, were intoxicated during the incidents, according to French media reports.

They allegedly sexually assaulted two waitresses and violently attacked an employee at one of the bars.

As part of the court's ruling, the players have been ordered to avoid any contact with the witnesses in Dax.

This incident has raised concerns about the conduct of professional athletes abroad.
