Vodafone Vanuatu CEO, Thoman Bruce, has shared positive news, saying they have been able to contact several Fijian families in Port Vila, and all of them are reported to be in good health.
Bruce mentioned that he is aware of a few details about those who died.
He knows that the son of a French-Vietnamese friend and a Chinese man who was on the ground floor of a collapsed building are among the victims.
Mr Bruce states that the Local Hospital is overwhelmed with injured people.
In an effort to help, Vodafone Vanuatu has posted messages on their Facebook group, asking the community to get in touch if urgent assistance is needed.
Bruce also shared that help is arriving from many countries, including Australia and New Zealand. A couple of planes carrying aid landed in Vanuatu yesterday.
