The Gymnastics Federation of Fiji proudly hosted a successful Aerobic Gymnastics Showcase on Friday, June 6, at The Northern Club in Lautoka, highlighting the exceptional talent and dedication of local gymnasts as they prepare for international competition.

The event brought together 22 athletes from Flight Club (Lautoka) and AeroGym Fiji (Suva), who performed across various competition levels, including Levels 3, 4, 5, Youth International, and Senior International. This showcase served as a pivotal step in their build-up to the National Clubs Carnival scheduled for September in Gold Coast, Australia.

A standout moment of the evening was the introduction of Lauren Pilla, Fiji’s newest Youth International gymnast, who is set to represent the country at the Suzuki World Cup next year. The audience was also treated to a stellar routine by Robyn Eastgate, Fiji’s Senior International athlete, fresh from her performance at the recent Suzuki World Cup.

The showcase was further elevated by the presence of two respected international guests:

Deborah Greenbaum, Australia’s highest-level FIG Brevet Judge and National Coach for Youth and Junior Aerobic Gymnastics, and

Pearl Rozenberg, Australia’s Judging Coordinator and International Brevet Judge.

Their visit offered invaluable technical feedback and support, enriching the experience for both athletes and coaches.

“This was more than just a showcase — it was a celebration of how far aerobic gymnastics has come in Fiji,” said a spokesperson from the Gymnastics Federation of Fiji. “Having international experts witness and support our athletes is both inspiring and affirming.”
