Five Arrested for Alleged Drug Possession in Nasinu

Five people were arrested last night in Narere, Nasinu, after police found six zip lock bags containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine.
The arrests were confirmed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACPO) Livai Driu, who stated that police are continuing daily drug raids to combat illegal activities.
In another operation, a police team uprooted 272 plants believed to be marijuana from the Tacilevu farming area in Savusavu.
While no arrests have been made regarding the plants, investigations are ongoing.
ACP Driu highlighted that raids are also being carried out in villages with the help of Turaga ni Koro (village leaders), adding that it is encouraging to see people coming forward to assist police with information.
Police have assured the public that these drug operations will continue throughout the festive season to eliminate illegal drugs and ensure community safety.
