Flooding in Nigerian State Leads to Zoo Animal Escape
WORLD

In northeastern Nigeria, the Sandya Kyarimi zoo experienced flooding that damaged its walls and allowed animals to break free from captivity.
Although some of the escaped have been found, according to zoo director Ali Donbest, some have not and are still at large.
A resident expressed his biggest fear of encountering a wild animal and has left the area as a result.
No incidents of animals attacking humans have been reported so far.
